What is sintered quartz?

Sintered quartz is a composition of natural minerals, in particular quartz, shale, granite and ceramic pigments. These raw materials are ground up, compressed, and then baked in 1220 degrees Celsius. This method enables the manufacture of large-format slabs that are perfectly flat and can be cut to the desired size with great accuracy.

Over 90% of materials used to make sintered quartz come from natural sources. Depending on the type, they are additionally made of 20 to 60% recycled materials. Their natural composition allows them to be ground up again and recycled, to be used in further manufacturing cycles.
